Too many Twitter accounts?
It is a known fact that many people have various Twitter accounts. Perhaps you have one for business and one for personal? Now they are trying to figure out how to limit "fake" Twitter accounts - like the ones that are being used to spread malware and such. It is also known as Social Spamming.
A technology has emerged called honeypots - it is a fake account but is is there to learn about the behavior and spammer tactics.
Kyumin Lee at Texas A&M University has 60 Twitter accounts, and not because he's popular - he is researching how spamming can be prevented by the use of dummy accounts - sort of fight evil with....evil?
I don't know - I don't use many Twitter accounts but it is interesting to learn that Twitter is also being used for spamming - honestly I didn't know that much about it.
